From Shelbyville, Tennessee, is
emerging a young talented race car driver, Bill Christie. This is Bill’s fourth
year in racing and has already clenched two National Titles. He began his
racing in Bedford County at Twin
Fountains Raceway Park. He has now
raced all over the United States for his National Titles, 1999 BGSCA National
Rookie of the Year and 2000 BGSCA National Champion.

Broke the Road Course Track
Record at Nashville
SuperSpeedway
Being backed by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Bill
progressed to the road course at Nashville SuperSpeedway in 2001, where he
broke the road course
track record and clenched the BGSCA
road course championship.
Bill plans to run at Nashville Speedway
next year and is trying to get marketing partners, a team, and shop put
together. Anyone interested in working with Bill please
visit his web-site at www.billchristie.com
and drop an e-mail, or call 931-684-0015
Bill was born and raised in
Shelbyville, TN. He is an honors graduate of Motlow State Community College,
and now a senior at Middle Tennessee State University, where
he plans to graduate May, 2002 with a BS
Degree in Banking/Finance and Marketing. He is 22 years old and single.
As great grandson of the late Pat
Melson, Shelbyvillian race car owner, Christie has been exposed to the racing
community since he was five years old.

He has seen it evolve from the Saturday
night hobby dirt trackers to a full-time asphalt business. He has seen first
hand where companies benefit from their
marketing dollars.
Union Planters
Bank and Nationwide Express of Shelbyville, TN first backed Bill in his
racing endeavors. If you ask Bill where he banks...”Union Planters Bank of
Shelbyville.” If you were
to ask him to refer a truck driver for a job....”Nationwide Express.” “I like to have a personal relationship
with my marketing partners. It is
important that you give them the
support they deserve,” Christie says.
MOTHERS,
Polishes, Waxes, and Cleaners supports Bill’s racing efforts with
their car products. They have a whole line of cleaners, waxes, etc. You may
visit them at
www.mothers.com. Virtual
Thunder Racing Experience
supports Bill’s racing efforts by publishing an occasional news article on
their web-site, www.virtualthunder.com
You can have more fun with their site,
as they play games with all racing series. Other marketing partners that
deserve recognition
are 4-Lane Motors and Main
Street
Tire, both of
Shelbyville, TN. Bill Christie has been
and still is a loyal employee of 4-Lane Motors. He has worked there for the
past four years, while working and racing his
way through college. Harper Precision Performance, in
Hendersonville has played a major role, and Bill continues to refer race car
drivers to Mitchell Harper for his expertise in building engines. “Without marketing partners and the loyalty
of the fans, there would be no racing,” Christie states. “In today’s economy,
you have to get every bang for your buck that you can; that’s what makes it a marketing
partnership....not a sponsorship.”
We need partners to continue Bill Christie’s career.
